Preference is given to dark realism, horror, and bio-organic themed projects at this time. If your idea is not selected in the next round of submissions, Death Wish Tattoo hosts talented guest artists that may be a better fit for your design. Guest artists are announced on our social media platforms. You can contact guests directly or email info@deathwishtattoo.com for further assistance or a referral to an artist best suited for your tattoo idea.
There are multiple factors to consider when estimating the cost of a tattoo. The subject, placement, size, colour, and style all contribute to the time it takes to research and design the tattoo. Therefore, it is important to discuss your budget at the consultation.

The current hourly rate is $200 per hour, taxes included. A $150 non-refundable deposit is required at the time of the consultation, which can be paid by cash or by e-transfer.
For small tattoos that are applied in under an hour, there is a standard fee of $200 plus tax. This is required to cover the cost of setting up, tearing down, and the supplies required to complete the tattoo.
The consultation is an opportunity to meet the artist, discuss your reference material, and go over the fundamentals of the design you want. At the consultation you can expect to review the design idea, placement, size, etc. We will also discuss project completion timelines, your budget, any scheduling constraints, and any health issues or concerns. A deposit is required at the time of your consultation.
There is great effort that goes into the process of designing your one-of-a-kind, custom tattoo. A tattoo is a big commitment, for both the wearer and the artist. Your deposit ensures that the artist is paid for the time and effort they put into the design and that they are compensated if you do not provide adequate notice to cancel or reschedule.
If you cannot make it to your scheduled appointment, contact your artist directly, call the shop at 519-246-6627, or email info@deathwishtattoo.com as soon as possible to reschedule.

The deposit will not be refunded for missed appointments (no call, no shows).
The day of your tattoo:

● Hygiene - Please arrive at your appointment clean and odour-free.

● Comfort - You will be sitting for a while. Wear comfortable clothes, eat before arriving, and bring snacks to keep your blood sugar up.

● Clothing - Death Wish Tattoo artists are tidy, but the tattoo process does involve ink. Black ink. The blacker the better. To avoid damage to expensive or favourite clothing, please dress appropriately and do not wear anything you don’t want to see ruined.

● Arrive on time - For obvious reasons, don’t be late. If you will be late, let the artist know, call the shop, or email the shop. Please do not arrive earlier than your scheduled appointment time. The artist is fine tuning, printing, and setting up for you right up to your scheduled arrival time. For maximum efficiency, it is best to arrive at your scheduled time.

● Arrive alone - Unless a bonafide support person is required, it is best to attend your appointment alone. Tattooing is not a spectator sport! We have business cards you can share with friends.
